Why I Do This – The Heart Behind Caring Casseroles
Years ago, when my child was in the ICU, friends showed up with meals. Those casseroles fed more than my body—they comforted my heart and gave me the strength to keep going. I will never forget the feeling of being cared for in such a real, tangible way. I was showered with so much love that I couldn’t help but spend the years since passing it on.
That experience taught me that each of us, in our own way, can show up and make a difference. Even small acts ripple out. Even a casserole.
Someone once told me, “You can’t change the world… but you can change someone’s world.” And maybe—just maybe—that’s how we change the whole thing.
I believe kindness spreads. I believe showing up matters. And I truly believe a warm meal can be a powerful thing.
I’m sending you love from Kansas to wherever you are reading this. May you feel inspired to reach out to someone nearby—show up with a meal, a kind note, or a listening ear. You never know the difference it might make.
