- 1 pound ground sausage browned and drained
- 1 15 ounce can pizza sauce
- 2 6-7.5 ounce packages of refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (10 biscuits each)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 25 slices of pepperoni
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Spray a 9×13 pan with non-stick spray.
Cut biscuits into sixths. Using a pizza cutter makes this quick easy, and fun for kids if you have a helper!
In a bowl, combine cut biscuits, pizza sauce, and sausage.
Place mixture evenly into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Top with cheese and sliced pepperoni.
Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 25-35 minutes or until biscuits are cooked through
Let stand 5-10 minutes before serving.
To Make It Dairy-Free:
- Use your favorite dairy-free shredded cheese. Brands like Daiya, Violife, or Follow Your Heart work well.
- You can also skip the cheese altogether—it's still delicious without it!
Biscuits:
- Be sure to double-check the labels for hidden dairy. Aldi’s store brand or Pillsbury’s refrigerated biscuits are great options, but verify the ingredients in case they’ve changed.
Customize It:
- Swap the sausage for ground beef, turkey, or a plant-based alternative.
- Add veggies like diced bell peppers, onions, or mushrooms for extra flavor and nutrients.
