This easy Cheeseburger Casserole is loaded with beef, bacon, cheese, and macaroni! Perfect comfort food for weeknights or sharing. Gluten-free tips included!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces macaroni noodles cooked according to package directions
  • 8 slices bacon cooked and coarsely chopped
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 onion chopped (plus extra for garnish)
  • 16 ounces tomato sauce
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Toppings for serving: chopped pickles tomatoes, onions, and shredded lettuce
  • Cooking spray

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly coat a 9x13 casserole dish with cooking spray.
  • In a large pan, cook the ground beef, breaking it into small pieces, until it’s nicely browned. Season it with garlic powder and onion powder, and then drain any excess fat.
  • Add the chopped onion to the pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes until softened.
  • Stir in the tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and half of the chopped bacon. Mix everything together and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions, drain it, and add it to the beef mixture. Stir in half of the shredded cheddar cheese until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared casserole dish and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top. Bake for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Once it’s out of the oven, top the casserole with the rest of the bacon, and add your favorite toppings like chopped tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, and onions.
